Gunmen abduct lawmaker’s wife in Ogun

The wife of a  lawmaker in Ogun State, Mrs Folashade Onademuren, was on Tuesday abducted by gunmen at a construction site on Lewu street, Obalende area of Ijebu-Ode.
The spokesman of Ogun Police Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the incident in Abeokuta, said the abduction took place at about 1. 30 p.m.
He said Onademuren  was taken away in a white Opel Astra car, adding that the command was making efforts  to rescue her.
“The Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, was at the scene to strategise on her rescue and we are going to do all that is possible to track down the perpetrators and effect her rescue.
“ We urge the public to assist in giving the police useful information that will lead to her rescue as soon as possible,’’ he said.
The victim  is the wife of  Hon. Samson Onademunren representing Ijebu North East in the Ogun  House of Assembly.
