God told me to go —Pope Benedict
In an emotional goodbye to 100,000 supporters, the Pope revealed on
Sunday that he was stepping aside because God told him to do so.
In a voice raw with emotion, Benedict XVI told pilgrims in St Peter’s Square that he was resigning on February 28 because God had called on him to devote himself to prayer. He said God had told him ‘to climb the mountain’.
Mail Online reports that pilgrims filled the piazza to witness a historical moment and thank the Pope for his eight year Pontificate at the Angelus Prayer, his penultimate public appearance as the Pontiff.
Despite recently looking tired and frail, he spoke in a clear, strong voice, repeatedly thanking the faithful for their closeness and affection as they interrupted him, again and again, with applause and cheers. Police estimated some 100,000 people turned out.

For The Ladies: How To Stop Your Breasts From Sagging
A sagging or drooping breast is a natural, inevitable process that
most women experience at some points in their lives. Women tend to be
bothered by this life’s normal process, because they feel it makes them
unattractive. Drooping breast are said to occur with age, but a breast
can actually start sagging at any age simply because they do not have
muscles in them.
While the causes of sagging are not known, many schools of thought attribute the cause of this phenomenon to breastfeeding. But many researches and studies have shown that this is a complete myth. Outcomes of studies and researches have found that expansion and contraction of milk glands during pregnancy and not breastfeeding is responsible.
In some cases, it even happens without pregnancy. Sagging can happen sooner than expected, except those with very small breasts. It is not uncommon to see teens with drooping breasts.

Look for warning signs of stress and don’t ignore them
The thing about stress is that if ignored, it can lead to even more serious health problems.
I have written about stress and its
damaging effects on a number of occasions. I keep returning to it for a
few reasons. I see the insidious effects of it on a daily basis. Some of
it is within my own life, when I feel a sense of being out of control
or overwhelmed. I have learnt to identify what my triggers are and what
my warning signals tell me. I have learnt that I ignore this at my own
peril. I have also seen the effects of stress in the lives of friends,
family, colleagues and sometimes even the ordinary man on the streets.
Sometimes it is the very things that give
us joy and comfort that can bring us the most stress. For instance,
work, family obligations and money worries can all add up and leave you
feeling overwhelmed.
Of course there is good stress and bad
stress; the first one tends to have a motivating effect on us leading us
to be more productive and to take healthy risks to advance or promote
career options. Then there is the other stress (the bad one), that makes
you have many sleepless nights, and impacts adversely on your mental
and physical health.
I have a fiancé now — Bisi Ibidapo-Obe
Background
I’m Bisi Ibidapo-Obe, a Nollywood actress.
Acting is a passion
I have always been passionate about
acting. When I was in the secondary school, I loved entertainment. So,
imagine how I felt when my father insisted that I read law. I do not
blame him because a large percentage of my family members are lawyers. I
rejected my father’s advice and went to Ebute-Meta, Lagos, where I met a
popular actor, who introduced me to acting. The first film I featured
in was Edunjobi. Then, I was not after money. I just wanted to
be famous. I wanted to be like my bosses-Yinka Quadri and Taiwo Hassan.
It was not easy climbing the ladder of success but I thank God for what I
have become today.
I’m scared of marriage: I get lots of proposals,it is so crazy..–Ebube Nwagbo
"Yes I am still single. The reason is that I am someone who has always
believed in love. It is a big deal to me so if I have to do it, it has
to be right. I am a strong believer of love. I get lots of proposals; it
is so crazy I do not know who to give a chance to. I think it is a
price I have to pay for stardom. Sometimes when anybody comes my way, I
do not know who wants to be with me for the right reasons. I believe
when that day comes, I will definitely figure out who that person is. It
is not easy. What I should be talking about is not relationship but
marriage. I want to go into marriage and be in it for ever. No one goes
into marriage thinking of divorce, but it happens. We try our best. I
think I am kind of scared, but I just have to give it a try whether I
like it or not. It just has to happen and happen right; at the right
time""\

Emeka Ike is a nuisance –Ejike Asiegbu
He’s a frustrated loser –Emeka Ike
One would have thought that with time Ejike Asiegbu, one time president of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and celebrated actor, Emeka Ike would sheath their swords and forget hurts of the past. However, recent encounters with the two indicate that they still bear grudges and have unsavory impressions of one another.
It was Ejike who fired the first salvo, describing the continuous legal battle Emeka is waging against the guild’s leadership over the position of presidency as ‘unnecessary’ and labeling him (Emeka) a‘nuisance’. In an exclusive interview, Ejike further stated: “I hate to discuss him because he has no case as far as I’m concerned. He’s just seeking attention. The Bible says, ‘You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free’. As far as I’m concerned, he is a non-issue. What he says he is fighting for, we already did during my administration. You cannot seek power illegally anywhere.

Conversations have rules
The
art of making conversation certainly has rules guiding it. How you talk
on the telephone or in the company of another person, at a business
meeting, a party, to a friend, neighbour, or when at home with family is
important. You just must converse well. How?
Begin with a cordial question
Be the first to ask a pleasant question,
including, ‘how’s your day going?’ ‘What’s new in your world?’ or a
question that gets the other person to answer with more than a yes or
no. If the other person happens to ask a question first, answer it, but
then ask a question in return.
Converse in equal time slots
According to www.ehow.com
conversations are not meant to be one sided, where one person talks
while the other person listens. There is a delicate balance between how
much talking one person should do over the other. It should be
relatively equal. If you are not hearing a balance in your
conversations, something is wrong.
Save yourself from sudden death
The
news of the demise of Nigerian female musician, 30-year-old Susan
Harvey (Goldie), is no longer new. What is new, however, is the
suddenness, which has left many people wondering what might have led to
her death.
What more, being a public figure, Goldie
lived virtually all her life before the camera. She appeared healthy
enough and her fans had no inkling that she ever had any health issue.
Many reasons — albeit unofficial — has
been adduced for her death. For one, an artiste friend of hers, Denrele
Edun, who reportedly rushed her to the hospital when she collapsed
suddenly upon arrival from the United States where she had attended the
Grammy Awards, said she died of pneumonia.
The doctors claimed that she died before
arrival at the Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos and therefore
could not volunteer the cause of death. While there has also been a
reference to blood clot, an unidentified source said she died of drug
overdose, which her British widower, Andrew, has denied.
Whatever was the cause of Goldie’s death, one thing is certain: she died suddenly.

The
junior national team, the Flying Eagles, left the country for a playing
tour of Egypt on Monday without their coach John Obuh. The coach was
left behind following a mild drama at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in
Abuja as he protested the non-payment of his salary allegedly totalling
13 months. Obuh who later spoke to reporters said he was owed three
months and not 13.
The airport showdown came up despite the
Nigeria Football Federation’s earlier statement that all the national
teams’ coaches had been paid their outstanding salaries.
The U-20 Eagles are in Egypt where they
will engage the Egypt’s U-20 side in a two-legged friendly on Wednesday
and Friday in continuation of their preparation for the Africa Youth

Keshi still needs help – Kojo
Erstwhile Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association, Kojo Williams is
still celebrating Super Eagles victory at the Africa Cup of Nations in
South Africa.
He is also celebrating the man who made it possible for Nigeria to break the 19-year wait before another Nations Cup victory.
“Stephen Keshi has shown that he is a natural leader. A motivator. He has not only made history for himself, he has placed Nigeria in the consciousness of the world. He deserves all that an appreciative nation bestows on him”, Williams said on our hotline.
However, Kojo Williams said that his joy for Keshi and the nation is more on the positive momentum this victory will bring for Nigerian football and as such has advised that the all-conquering coach works with a foreign coach to actualize the dream of producing a Nigerian team that can face any world team and come out unscathed.

Pension fund scam: Embattled Maina flees Nigeria
ABUJA— There were indications, Sunday, that the embattled Pension
Reform Task Team, PRTT, Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Maina, had fled
the country to escape arrest by the police and other security agents on
his trail.
Maina is reported to have moved to one of the Middle East nations, following the arrest warrant issued against him by the Senate and the decision by the Presidency to discipline him for absconding from his duty post without permission.
A close source to the PRTT boss, who had since been declared wanted by the police, told Vanguard that Maina left the country once it became clear to him that the Presidency, which had allegedly been shielding him, had given up on him.
The source said that with the partial withdrawal of the security men around Maina by the government, it was obvious to the PRTT boss that he should either report to the police or the Senate to clear himself over allegations of pension funds embezzlement.
