Improving women’s libido

Lack of sex drive is common in women, but quite rare in men. An astonishing 43 per cent of females lack sex drive. Fortunately, this is only temporary, as some will get over it by themselves, and a lot more can be helped by nutrition.
•         Vegetables: Some vegetables contain hormones and minerals that can increase sex drive. Hot chilies increase blood circulation to female sexual organs, making them more sensitive. Asparagus contains Vitamin E, which helps the body produce hormones like oestrogen and progesterone. It is also a good source of foliate, which is necessary for histamine production — a necessity for reaching orgasm.

•         Fruits: Bananas contain an enzyme called bromelain that increases libido. They are also a good source of potassium and B vitamins, which help convert carbohydrates into energy used for stamina. Avocados also increase energy with folic acid. Figs increase libido with amino acids. Watermelon contains the phytonutrient citrulline, which increases the body’s levels of nitric oxide. This relaxes blood vessels and increases blood circulation, decreasing the amount of time it takes to get aroused.
•Eggs contain Vitamins B6 and B5, which work to balance hormones and reduce stress.
•Honey provides the body with energy, fuel and B vitamins, such as boron, that help the body to use oestrogen for arousal.
•Dark chocolates contain phenylethylamine, which provides the body with antioxidants and produces relaxing and positive feelings.
